The Ritual

Your Evening Ceremony

Four steps. A few quiet minutes. The difference between skincare and self-care.

Why Ritual

Not a Routine. A Ritual.

There is a difference between applying skincare and practising it. A routine is something you get through. A ritual is something you come back to -- a few minutes at the end of the day when your hands slow down, your breathing steadies, and the outside world waits.

The Mubadira ritual is built around four deliberate steps, each one designed to work with the next. It takes no more than five minutes. But those five minutes, repeated with intention, will change the way your skin feels and the way your evening ends.

This is not about perfection. It is about presence.

Step I

Cleanse

Begin with a clean canvas

Before anything else, your skin needs to breathe. Use your preferred cleanser to remove the day -- makeup, pollution, the invisible film that settles on skin after hours in the world. Pat dry gently with a clean towel. Do not rub. The ritual begins the moment you slow down.

Use your preferred gentle cleanser. We are developing ours.

Step II

Nourish

The centrepiece of your evening

Take a small amount of Velvet Creme -- less than you think you need. Warm it between your fingertips for a moment, then apply to your face and neck using gentle upward strokes. Begin at the jawline and work upward. The saffron and 24K gold in the formulation work best when the cream is given a moment to melt into the skin. Allow thirty seconds before moving on.

Step III

Hydrate

Hands that carry everything deserve this

Your hands are the most used and most neglected part of your skin. Apply Silk Touch generously to the backs of your hands, between your fingers, and along your cuticles. The argan oil and rose water absorb quickly without residue, so you can continue your evening without waiting. The scent lingers gently -- a quiet reminder that you took a moment for yourself.

Step IV

Protect

Seal the ritual

The final step. Press a small amount of Royal Balm onto your lips with your fingertip. The solid balm melts on contact, releasing coconut butter and oud essence into cracked or dry skin. This is your overnight treatment -- it works while you sleep, repairing and protecting through the night. Place the compact on your bedside table. It will be there in the morning.

Making It Yours

Tips for a Better Ritual

Gentle Pressure, Always

Your face does not need force. Use your ring finger for the under-eye area -- it applies the least pressure naturally. For the rest of your face, use flat palms and broad, upward strokes. Let the formulation do the work. Your hands are there to guide it.

When to Begin

The ideal window is thirty to sixty minutes before sleep. This gives the formulations time to absorb fully, and it gives you time to transition from the pace of the day to the quiet of the evening. The ritual should not feel rushed.

The Order Matters

Always move from lightest to richest. Cleanse first, then Velvet Creme on the face, then Silk Touch on the hands, then Royal Balm on the lips. Each step prepares the skin for the next. Reversing the order reduces absorption.

Adapting to the Climate

In the UAE summer, you may find a thinner layer of Velvet Creme is enough -- the humidity helps your skin retain moisture. In the cooler winter months or in air-conditioned environments, apply a slightly more generous amount. Your skin will tell you what it needs.

I did not expect a hand cream to change my evening. But there is something about the scent of Silk Touch -- the rose water, the warmth of it -- that tells my mind the day is over. It has become the boundary between work and rest.
